Hey! I have not seen you at school, than I went to your journal. Are you really in China?! How? And what about school?
Unfortunately, I haven't seen ShinYoung either :( She is a very nice girl, I miss talking to her. I am not sure that she is still going to school, because I never see her there. May be she had transfered somewhere else? But, anyway If I will see her I will say hi from you )
About Artworks. I have one of my own ))) I am going to school full time + working for our business, + taking care of the hubby, etc. He wrote a book about Finger lakes food and wine and I was doing photography for the book. I have not finished yet, and every weekend I am in the lab printing. Beside this was a project for my independent class, and I just showed my work to Nick and he really hated it. So, I can say that everything is well, but slightly crazy ))) In the States there is always time for working but never for living.
That's too bad about Shinyoung, I realy liked her. I hoped I would see her again some day. I hate how that happens, but i guessit's a fact of life. It's okay, she thought I was wierd anyway.lol.
As for school, I have an Independant Photo, and Independant design, and the same for Drawing. Plus I have an online advanced screenwriting course. LOL. That's what I get for having skipped all the first level classes, now I still need the credits so I get to do INDEPENDANTS! I love independants, they're my favorite class. lol.
The photo I'm doing a sort of "human condition" -shot with a cinema oriented feel- project (here in China of course). And for Drawing I'm using these photos to do composite illustrations of ideal scenes and lighting. For design I'm anylizing spaces and then creating my own space at the end. And for Screenwriting I am finishing a script I started in screenwriting 1 last semester, that will use the other 3 classes works to help define the final product (of the theoreticall film). Then I send it off to agents and producers (as part of the final stage of the class). WHatever the case it's all alot of fun, though I left my camera in america untill i have a place to live so I'm not able to work on 2 of the three classes for a bit. Soon I'll find a place and get it mailed to me. I did some shots with an instant camera but found it mostly to be insufficient for the kind of stuff I want to do (of course). I think I want to use this developer my friend has for B&W that allows you to get decent negatives in many lighting conditions (alot of latitude) the only problem is that it's really grainy so it's better for medium format (which i don't have) also I don't have a darkroom...so i may just do all color. I will lok into what I have to do to get a darkroom, but I think it may be too much [money] for now.
Anyway, if george bush wins the election I plan not to return to america for the next 4 years. I hope that doesn't happen, but i am prepaired.
I'm going to apply for study abroad so that hopefully next semester, or next year, i can go to Japan. ...of course they're going to want me to graduate eventually. lol. right now I'm just taking out loans to pukll all this off. :) but it's cheaper to live here than america, so it's really not a bad plan i think. plus it's more interesting.
Sounds like you're doing alot of cool stuff, really. It's too bad Nick hated it. He does that sometimes and it's annoying. lol. He didn't hate my independant, but once a few years ago ...6 years to be exact, when i came for 1 semester then sropped out cause i was working full time and too young, andyway, I did a big project and he really didn't like it. Luckily i had done another project that he'd loved so it balanced out. it was really annoying and I've had similar results with him here and there on little things, but mostly good. ;)
It's so funny how that works:teachers are people too, and as such they have OPINIONS and these can stand in your way. it's not necissarily based on the quality of your work, but on their idea of the quality of your work. lol.
So yeah, I got here and was sleeping in internet cafes and sometimes at bus stops, and alternating between that and hostels but couldn't afford that so much. now I've found I tiny room in a ghetto hotel that I can afford until i find a place (when my loans come through). lol.
I really want to post the work i do here but I don't have access to a scanner. I'm thinking about buying a cheap one with some of my loan money to facilitate my projects and my bad live journal habit that is all YOUR fault. LOL. ;P
Okay, I hope NIck not liking your project doesn't become too big of a problem. (you know he'll let you do a different project and chenge your grade if you ask him i bet...i don't know if you have the time of course). Good luck.

Anything interesting going on in your life? (I wouldn't know cause I can't read russian).
Hey, say hi to ShinYoung Kim for me, will you?
I'm not good friends with her, but she strikes me as interesting and I talk with her now and then, so I'd be happy if you could say hi for me.
:)
Okay, well, I hope things are going well for you.
